SANDRA LAWRENCE to introduce screening at
Greenwich Picturehouse 20th November 2005
Sandra will be introducing a screening of "Gilda" on Sunday 20th November 2005
with a set of songs from NOIRESQUE. Accompanied by
RUSSELL CHURNEY
on keyboards, Sandra will be singing from 7.30pm; the screening will commence
after her set.
"GILDA" is one of the masterpieces of Noir. Directed by Charles "King" Vidor, it
stars the delectable Rita Hayworth and formidable Glenn Ford, with strong
supporting performances from George Macready and Joseph Calleia. Gilda is a fine
example of the "good-bad girl" - the wild, sexy siren who longs for love. Never
is Hayworth more beautiful, never is Ford more masculine and never is Buenos
Aires more glamorous. And if you've never seen "THAT" scene where Hayworth
performs the rudest strip-tease ever now is your chance...
